Our Story

From the Great Lakes to the coast.

3H Marina began with a simple idea: that everyone who lives on the water deserves clothing made with the same care as the boats they run. Founded by Jeffrey R. Hubbard and his children — Penelope Grace, Jack R., and Jeffrey R. II — the brand was born on the lower Detroit River, where Great Lakes salmon runs meet the yachts and cruisers of a working shoreline. A family name, built for the water.

Registered in Delaware and established in three places — the Hubbard family home on Bayview Drive, Grosse Ile, on the lower Detroit River; Cheboygan, where Lake Huron meets the Straits of Mackinac; and Marathon Key, Florida, in the heart of the Keys — 3H Marina is, today, a nautical performance brand with two callings: performance gear for anglers who chase fish across the Great Lakes and the salt, and luxury performance for individuals who enjoy using their yachts throughout the Great Lakes and the coastal areas.

The same honest fabric serves both — a Posi-UV tee on the charter deck, a stretch polo on the flybridge at sunset. We build to IGFA standards in spirit on the fishing side. The 3H carries two meanings: the three Hubbards — Penelope, Jack, and Jeffrey — and a course toward water, craft, and community. Both point to a working marina to come.

The love of the water started long before the brand. Jeffrey grew up on the Upper St. Mary's River in Sault Ste. Marie, where the river connects Lake Superior to Lake Huron and the current never stops moving. His mother and father became large advocates in boating and all aspects around it — from the Great Lakes Shipwreck Historical Society to the culture of stewardship that keeps these waters alive. That love of the water is ingrained in our family's DNA, and we pray that for generations to come, this love and respect of the water will continue on.

Katelyn Hubbard shares that same love, both for the water and for her family. Whether she's on the dock at dusk or on the beach in the Keys, Katelyn is part of the crew that keeps 3H Marina grounded in what matters most: family, the water, and the people who share it.

How long do orders take to arrive?

Every item is made to order and crafted specifically for you. For the quickest turnaround, place your order by Sunday at 11:59 PM. Most orders ship within 7–14 business days after the weekly cut-off.

What is your return policy?

Because every piece is made to order, all sales are final. If you have questions about sizing before you order, reach out to jrhubbard717@gmail.com and we'll help you get the right fit.

Can I get custom embroidery or a bulk order for my crew?

Absolutely — we work with teams, crews, charter operations, and yacht clubs. Send us a note with the details and we'll put together a quote and timeline for you.

When will the marina open?

The marina — including wet slips, boat sales, transient docking, and an IGFA weigh station — is part of our planned future, not yet open. We're positioning toward two marinas over time: one in Michigan and one in Florida. Join our email list below to be among the first to know when there's news.

How does 3H Marina support MS research?

We've committed to raising $50,000 for Multiple Sclerosis research by 2027 through our MS Research Fund. A portion of every apparel order and fundraising event goes toward the National MS Society. You can donate directly through the link in our Give Back section above, or support both causes through the Two-Marina Vision Fund, which is built on a path of giving back to anglers, boaters, and the MS community.
